THATCHER, Ariz. — Sunridge Hotel Group, an award-winning hotel owner and operator based in Mesa, has announced the grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony for the 69-suite TownePlace Suites by Marriott Thatcher. The event is scheduled for Tuesday, May 12, 2026, from 4 to 6 p.m., with a formal ribbon cutting at 5 p.m.
The all-suite property, located at 2777 West Highway 70 in Thatcher, is owned by Gila Valley Hospitality II, LLC, and managed by Sunridge Hotel Group. Brittany Hernandez, formerly of the Graham County Chamber of Commerce and the Boys and Girls Club of the Gila Valley, serves as general manager. The company also operates the adjacent SpringHill Suites by Marriott Thatcher.
The hotel provides access to key regional destinations, including Eastern Arizona College and its Fine Arts Center, the Graham County Fairgrounds, the Gila Valley Arizona Temple, and operations tied to Freeport-McMoRan. The location also offers proximity to outdoor recreation areas such as Mount Graham, Roper Lake State Park and the Gila Box Riparian Conservation Area.
