McDougal Caldwell Funeral & Cremations is inviting community members to help local students prepare for the upcoming school year through a Back-to-School Supply Drive running from May 1 through July 1 in Safford.

The collection drive is taking place at McDougal Caldwell, located at 112 E. Main St. in Safford, with donations accepted Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Organizers are seeking a variety of commonly needed classroom supplies, including pens, pencils, markers, highlighters, glue sticks, crayons, pencil sharpeners, spiral notebooks, erasers, three-prong folders, calculators, tissues and backpacks.

The effort is designed to support local students and families by helping ensure children begin the school year with the tools needed for success in the classroom.

The drive will continue through July 1.
