GREENLEE COUNTY, Ariz. — The Safford Rotary Club is inviting community members to attend The Murdock Benefit on Saturday, June 13 at the Greenlee County Fairgrounds in support of Dusty and JR Murdock.
Organizers describe the event as a day of connection, generosity and fun featuring a cornhole tournament, silent auction, live auction, dinner and live music.
Cornhole tournament registration will begin at 10 a.m. with bags flying at 11 a.m. Teams may preregister through Scoreholio or register the day of the event. Entry is $50 per team, and prizes will be awarded to first-, second- and third-place teams.
A silent auction will run from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., followed by a live auction beginning at 6 p.m. Organizers also announced door prizes during the auction activities.
Dinner will include a barbecue beef meal with all the fixings beginning at 5 p.m. Plates are $20 each. Attendees are encouraged to reserve meals in advance by sending payment through Venmo to @DustyMurdock. Organizers ask purchasers to include their name, phone number and number of plates requested. Limited plates will be available the day of the event.
Live music and dancing featuring Jed Morrison will take place from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m.
