Graham County, Arizona – The Graham County Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce an opening for the position of Staff Assistant, based in our front office in Safford, Arizona. As a welcoming face and voice of the Chamber, the individual in this role will play an instrumental part in ensuring smooth operations and embodying our mission to advance the quality of life in the Gila Valley.

Job Overview:

The Staff Assistant’s key responsibilities span a range of crucial office functions from communication, customer service, event management, digital tasks, and upholding the Chamber’s values of professionalism.

Core Responsibilities Include:

Communication and Office Functions: Tasks include answering phones, greeting visitors, collecting vital visitor and grant-making information, and efficiently managing the Chamber Concierge program.

Event Management: From staging events, scheduling the use of facilities, to ensuring cleanliness and upkeep in collaboration with janitorial teams, the Staff Assistant is central to our events’ success.

Digital Maintenance: This involves updating the Chamber website, creating and editing member directory pages, data entry tasks, and mastering the use of tools like Chat GPT.

Qualifications: Potential candidates should exhibit a willingness to learn, a service-oriented approach, relevant customer service experience, strong communication skills, and a growth-oriented mindset. Proficiency in office software is a must, although training will be provided as needed.
