Title of position: Juvenile Court Counselor
Position type: Full-time
Annual Salary: $66,562-$69,224 Dependent on experience
Location: Graham County Probation

Description of responsibilities:
Performs professional work in providing counseling and treatment services to individuals, groups and families of youth assigned by the Graham County and Greenlee County Juvenile Courts.
Works as a collaborative team member with the Juvenile Drug Court in Graham County as well as Greenlee County Probation Departments.
Reviews, assesses, recommends, and implements individualized drug and alcohol screening and treatment programs for youth.
Conducts individual, group and family counseling with juvenile probationers in Graham and Greenlee office treatment settings, in local schools, and in a virtual setting with youth in placements.
Facilitates family engagement through an education and support group for parents of detained youth and Drug Court participants.
Coordinates and collaborates with probation, detention, medical staff, treatment providers, and others to coordinate planning and daily implementation.
Monitors and evaluates the progress of youth and families.
Participates in Child and Family Team (CFT) meetings and other staff meetings as necessary. Provides a written monthly report to the supervising probation officer regarding youth
participation and an exit report.
Prepares progress and other reports as necessary or directed. Performs other related duties and/or projects as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications: Master’s degree in social work, Psychology, Counseling or related field, and professional experience working with youth and mental/behavioral health treatment. Must be licensed and in good standing with the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health as a Licensed Professional Counselor. Preference will be given to applicants who are additionally licensed as Licensed Independent Substance Abuse Counselors, or Licensed Associate Substance Abuse Counselors. Possession of a valid Arizona Driver’s License, with a history of a safe driving record.
