SAFFORD- The Graham County Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the appointment of Desiree Schnell and Royce Hunt-Bell to its board.

We extend a warm welcome to both Desiree Schnell and Royce Hunt-Bell as they join the Graham County Chamber of Commerce board. Desiree’s accomplishments in the fashion and social media industries, along with her entrepreneurial expertise, make her a valuable addition. Royce brings a wealth of experience in nonprofit management and business as the owner of Roycycled Treasures. 

“We are delighted to welcome Desiree Schnell and Royce Hunt-Bell to the Graham County Chamber of Commerce board,” said Vance Bryce, Executive Director of the Graham County Chamber of Commerce. “Their unique perspectives, dynamic energy, and dedication to community service will be invaluable assets as we work towards the growth and prosperity of Graham County. We are so grateful for their volunteerism amd are looking forward to beginning this journey together.”

We are thrilled to have them on our board and we’re grateful for their valuable service to the Graham County Chamber of Commerce.  Both of these new board members are Gila Valley Leadership Inductees. 

Our New Board Members : 

Royce Hunt-Bell 

Royce Hunt-Bell is the owner and creator of Roycycled Treasures, an international company based in Safford. She specializes in designing and manufacturing paper used in the art of decoupage, which is sold in various countries including the United States, Canada, the U.K., Australia, New Zealand, Germany, and France.

In addition to her business ventures, Royce also maintains a successful YouTube channel where she shares tutorials and demonstrations on upcycling furniture and home décor using decoupage, paint, and other craft supplies. She is known for her expertise in this field and often conducts live appearances and workshops where she educates others on best practices in upcycling.

Prior to starting Roycycled Treasures, Royce dedicated 13 years of her career as the executive director for SEACUS (Southeastern Arizona Community Unique Services). SEACUS is responsible for operating Senior Centers and the Meals on Wheels program in Graham and Greenlee counties. Royce also worked with the Arizona Department of Economic Security before her role at SEACUS.

Community involvement and giving back are important values for Royce. She has volunteered her time on multiple boards within the community, including the United Way of Graham and Greenlee Counties, Arizona Community Foundation of the Gila Valley, U of A Extension Office Advisory Council, SEAGO’s Graham/Greenlee Transportation Coordination Committee, and the Chamber Board, among others.

Royce is a proud native of Safford and has strong ties to the community. She graduated from Safford High School and remains an active member of the community. She is married to David Bell, a radio personality, and they have four sons and one grandson.

Due to her commitment to the Gila Valley and her extensive experience in non-profit management, business, and marketing, Royce has joined the Graham County Chamber Board of Directors. She believes that her background will be valuable in serving the interests of the chamber and its stakeholders.

Desiree Schnell 

Desiree Schnell is a dynamic and accomplished individual who has made significant strides in both the fashion and social media spheres. At 29 years old, she is widely recognized as a prominent figure in her community.

Desiree is the proud owner of Josie James Co, a thriving local clothing boutique that also operates online. With a strong passion for fashion and keen entrepreneurial awareness, she has successfully merged her interests into a successful business venture. Additionally, Desiree has established herself as a TikTok influencer, amassing a following of over 250,000. On her TikTok platform, she shares her expertise in fashion and health-related content, showcasing her knowledge and engaging with her audience.

Outside of her professional endeavors, Desiree cherishes her nearly 9-year marriage to Tommy Schnell, who is employed by the Bureau of Land Management. Together, they have two beautiful children named Sawyer (6) and Josie (2), who bring them immense joy and pride.

Recently, Desiree completed her participation in the Gila Valley Leadership program, an experience that provided her with invaluable insights and connections within the community. The program was transformative for her, leading her to eagerly accept an invitation to join the Chamber of Commerce Board. Excited about this new journey, Desiree is determined to contribute her unique perspective and entrepreneurial spirit to the growth and prosperity of Graham County.
