SAFFORD – The Graham County Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the election of new officers and president to the Chamber Board!
The Graham County Chamber of Commerce held their annual Board training and organizational meeting on Wednesday, January 18th. They elected the following officers, Nicholas Nordgrän-Tellez, La Paloma, President, Corina Pino-Reyes, Valley TeleCom Group, Vice President, and Torey Cranford, Eastern Arizona College Small Business Development Center, Treasurer.
President Nicholas Nordgrän-Tellez, pictured above, outlined his priorities for the year, including refocusing Chamber efforts on membership programs, recruiting new members, including minority-owned business owners. The Board held a discussion on how to better communicate the benefits of being a member of the Chamber and to begin holding regular networking events.
“It is an honor to serve as this year’s Chamber President and I look forward to getting out in the community and meeting more business owners as we share the Chamber’s mission and goals for the new year,” said newly-elected president Nicholas Nordgrän-Tellez. “I would like to see more minority owned businesses joining our ranks as well as grow the Chamber services to the business community.”
The nominations committee appointed Torey Cranford to a second, three-year term.
Torey Cranford is the Founder, Owner, and Operator of Cakes with TLC, LLC. A local home-based custom bakery that has been a part of the Gila Valley for the last 13 years. Torey has served on the board for the Graham County Chamber of Commerce for the last 3 years as the Events Chair and serves on the Board for Nathaniel’s Childhood Cancer Foundation. Torey is also very excited to announce her new position as Business Analyst for the Small Business Development Center at Eastern Arizona College. She is very excited to help others dream of owning their own businesses. Torey has been married to her best friend and biggest supporter, Randy for 23 years. She has 2 children. Her son Nick works for 3 Counties Distribution, and her daughter Emaleah is married, a recent graduate from EAC Cosmetology and is expecting her first child in the Spring with her husband Ethan. Torey enjoys serving her community and being a part of what makes living in the Gila Valley so great.
Additionally, the nominations committee appointed Isaac Morris from Mann Mortgage to his first, three-year term.
Isaac was born and raised in Thatcher, and his family has deep roots in the Gila Valley. His grandpa, H.P. Morris, had a Volkswagen dealership in Safford in the 60’s, and his parents, Hyrum and Julie Morris, both grew up in the Gila Valley and graduated from Thatcher High School.
He graduated from Thatcher High School in 2009 and then left the Gila Valley for a short time to receive his Bachelors degree from ASU. After graduating from ASU he met his wife, Shaley, and they married in 2015. They made their first home back in the Gila Valley and they plan on being here and raising their family in this great community. His family consists of Kyson (9), Emery (6), Avery (4) and Myles (2 months).
Isaac started his professional career with Mann Mortgage as a Home Loan Originator in 2017. He was recently promoted into a managerial role and one of his main goals for the Safford Branch is to be more involved in the community. Isaac is very excited to serve as a board member for the Graham County Chamber!
